Yesterday, I was in the neighborhood where a couple of my friends work. I texted them to see if they would like some coffee from Starbucks, then received a reply text with their order. I was a little annoyed because the order included coffee for someone I did not know. I moaned and complained about it, then realized the cost of the coffee was just a few bucks. Sometimes it doesn’t take a lot to make someone’s day. I remembered that it’s Christmas and that means a time for giving. It made me feel good to provide a gift to a stranger. My goal for 2012 is to do more volunteer work and carry out more random acts of kindness.
